There is something to say for keeping things simple. It started as an inside joke. We’d give mnml (minimal) hugs and kisses, which meant a hug or kiss with no actual contact, if we stayed home one weekend we’d be mnmlifing; everything we did was to uphold the philosophy of leading the mnmlife. Those of us who were present for the inception of mnmlife are the original, true mnmlifers. They know who they are.

Music is something we are passionate about – dance music. When the founder of mnmlife, we’ll call him mrhonest, no capital “m” because upper case letters are !mnml (not minimal). So mrhonest, a new DJ at the time, decided DC didn’t bring the DJs we mnmlifers wanted to hear. Come to find, there were a ton of other people just like us who wanted to hear the same music. Thus, came mnmlife LLC, a promotions company founded on a simple philosophy that promised to bring some of the biggest names in the techno and mnml world.

mnmlife has four members, including myself. Since our debut party almost two years ago, we have been fortunate enough to throw some amazing parties, meet incredibly talented people, and tour the world seeing some of our favorite acts. Just a few DJs we’ve brought include: Matthew Dear, Loco Dice, Josh Wink, Steve Bug, M.A.N.D.Y, and the list could go on.

So that’s the 101 on mnmlife. To extend over more than three paragraphs would not be mnml. That brings me to the purpose of this blog. I’ll take you through some of the crazy things that happen in my life. While I strive to lead the mnmlife, my life, at times, is just not so mnml afterall. I’ll take you inside the parties I go to, I’ll give you a closer look into what DJs are really like. I’ll give my personal opinion of music sets I listen to, recommendations I have, but most importantly I’ll be having fun.
